DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir made calls to his counterparts in neighboring Gulf states on Monday to discuss the situation in Yemen, state news agency reported.
Al-Jubeir called the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah bin Zayed, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani and Yemen’s Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Hadrami.
The officials discussed the situation in Yemen and bilateral relations.

Saudi Arabia summons Iranian ambassador over attacks
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iran’s ambassador to the Kingdom, Alireza Enayati, on Sunday following what it described as Iranian attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and several neighboring countries.
During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Elkhereiji conveyed the Kingdom’s strong dissatisfaction and condemnation of the attacks, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Elkhereiji stressed Saudi Arabia’s firm rejection of any violations of state sovereignty, warning that such actions undermine regional security and stability.
He also said the Kingdom would take all necessary measures to defend its security and protect its territory.
The summons comes amid rising regional tensions following reported Iranian actions targeting Saudi Arabia and Gulf states.
