Saudi Arabia announces 7 new virus deaths, 1,362 new cases

  • Of these cases, 249 were recorded in Madinah, 244 in Makkah, 245 in Jeddah, 161 in Riyadh and 126 in Dammam
  • A total of 176 people have died of the disease in the Kingdom so far

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced seven deaths and 1,362 new cases of the COVID-19 virus on Saturday.
Of these cases, 249 were recorded in Madinah, 244 in Makkah, 245 in Jeddah, 161 in Riyadh and 126 in Dammam.
The number of people who had recovered from the coronavirus in the Kingdom increased to 3,765 after 210 patients were reported to have recovered.
A total of 176 people have died of the disease in the Kingdom so far.

US embassy in Riyadh attacked with drones: Saudi defense ministry

  • The embassy issued a shelter in place notice for Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam

RIYADH: US embassy in Riyadh was targeted by drones, resulting in a small fire and minor damage to the building,  Saudi Ministry of Defense said. 

US embassy in Riyadh was empty at the time of the strike, and no injuries were reported yet.

The embassy issued a shelter in place notice for Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.
