US House Of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has endorsed Joe Biden for president, according to a video statement released by her on Monday.
Pelosi’s endorsement of the Democratic presidential candidate and former vice president follows that of US Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, former president Barack Obama and former presidential candidate Al Gore, who all threw their support behind Biden earlier this month.

BEIJING: Prolonging the conflict in the Middle East will bring more suffering to local people, inflict major economic losses and further undermine regional and global stability, China’s top diplomat said on Thursday, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remarks in a call with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty and called for an immediate ceasefire in the region.
“All parties should urge the parties concerned to press the ‘stop button’ on military operations as soon as possible to prevent the situation from deteriorating further,” Wang was quoted as saying.
