Yemen's President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi met the head of the Southern Transitional Council on Thursday, in their first meeting since his Saudi-backed government and the separatists signed an agreement to end a power struggle in the south.
In the meeting with Aidarus Al-Zubaidi in Saudi Arabia, Hadi praised the efforts to reach the deal, Yemeni state news agency SABA reported.

Qatar says thwarted Iran attacks on airport
DOHA: Qatar’s military thwarted attacks on Hamad International Airport, the Gulf state’s foreign ministry spokesman said on Tuesday, as Iran pressed a retaliatory campaign across the Gulf.
“There were attempts to attack Hamad International Airport, they were all thwarted... the missiles were downed by our defensive measures, and none of them have reached the airport,” Majed Al-Ansari told a press conference, adding that Qatar had not been in contact with Iran since the start of the strikes.
