JEDDAH: On the occasion of the Saudi National Day, a number of officials from different ministries and government departments have been honored in recognition of their services to the country.
A royal order has been issued granting medals to six candidates, including doctors and professors, by the King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah).
The King Faisal Medal of the third class has been awarded to six personnel (including one officer) of the Ministry of Interior for carrying out distinguished work.
The King Faisal Medal of third class and the King Fahd Medal of third class have also been granted to 99 officers and personnel of the Ministry of National Guard for their participation in the Renewal of Hope Operation.

Crown prince, Qatar Emir discuss regional developments in phone call
RIYADH: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke on the phone on Thursday with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar.
During the call, the two leaders reviewed the fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and discussed ways to strengthen and develop cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international developments, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
