DUBAI: Emirates Post, the official postal operator in the UAE, has created a commemorative stamp to mark 150 years since the brith of Mahatma Ghandi.
Known as the ‘Father of India,’ Ghandi played a crucial role in the development of India and led the country to independence through non-violent protest.
“The stamp serves as a reminder of his significant contribution to human development, and his teachings of tolerance and respect is one of universal relevance,” said Emirates Post CEO, Abdulla M. Alashram.
Commemorative stamps and First Day Covers will be available at Emirates Post branches.
