Anif bin Ahmed Abanmi has been the president of Saudi Post since December 2018. He has also been the vice president of Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) for the operations sector since March 2018.

Abanmi attained his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1998, and his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the same university in 2000.

He completed his executive courses; financial affairs program from INSEAD, France in 2015 and digital business leadership from Columbia University in 2017.

Abanmi’s previous work experience at STC includes working as the director of the technical sales department from 2004 to 2008, as director of planning, performance and business development from 2008 to 2010, and as member of the executive committee and member of the audit committee of the STC Channels from 2017 to 2018.

Saudi Post employees recently came up with the idea of delivering postal items to customers before the Eid prayer, especially as some parcels included Eid-related items.

Abanami said that planning and cooperation between employees was the most important factor in achieving the goal. The missions were discharged by a group of young leaders who have worked as one team overcoming time constraints, Abanmi said.

He noted that future development plans include infrastructure investment in active postal logistic services in distribution, handling, techniques and tools that would increase the effectiveness of the system.
