AD DIRIYAH: A historic Saudi town is to host a major cultural event to mark the holy month of Ramadan.
The Ad Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) announced its launch of “Layali Ad Diriyah” (Ad Diriyah nights) to showcase the birthplace of Saudi Arabia through arts, crafts and heritage displays.
A broad range of cultural activities will be held in Al-Bujairi neighborhood throughout the Ramadan period, from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
For drama lovers, old movies and Ramadan series will be played, and Saudi adults will be transported back to their childhoods at a display of hand-made authentic toys. The traditional souq will offer hand-made souvenirs of the event.

Prince William arrives in AlUla on next step of Saudi Arabia tour
ALULA: Britain’s Prince William arrived on Tuesday in Al-Ula on the next stop of his official visit to Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
He was welcomed at Al-Ula International Airport by Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region.
The welcome party also included Major General Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani, director of the regional police, Ibrahim bin Abdullah Barri, director of the Royal Protocol Office, as well as other senior officials.
