KARACHI: Coded Minds, a Saudi owned global alternative education company is set to begin investments in Pakistan, “in a matter of weeks” according to its founder and chief innovation officer, Omer Farooqui.
The education firm offers project-based practical courses across UAE’s private and public schools through education technology to students as young as three years old. Recently, the company has partnered with Alarabi Investments, with its value soaring to AED 40 million.
“At present we are finalizing our logistic arrangements,” Farooqui told Arab News, and said that after kickstarting classes in the major cities of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, the programs would be spread around Pakistan “very aggressively-” a venture he calls “responsible investment with a purpose.”
“Very soon, we will be everywhere in Pakistan - whether it is a city or a village,” said Farooqui, who met Pakistani President Dr Arif Alvi, last month to discuss the new venture and aims to collaborate with government, non-government and traditional schools and madrasas.
“We believe that we are ushering in a revolution in the education sector not just in the region, but across the globe,” Farooqui said.
