Saudi Arabia’s King Salman receives religious leaders, princes, citizens

RIYADH: King Salman on Monday received the Saudi grand mufti, religious scholars, princes and a group of senior citizens who came to greet him.

A number of senior ministers and top officials also attended the event in Riyadh.

The reception began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. 

The attendees congratulated the king for the successful implementation of the Vision 2030 reform plan for the Kingdom.

The Saudi leadership is working to bridge communication gaps between the government and citizens. 

In recent years, the Kingdom has encouraged government officials to improve the quality of their services and to meet the needs of every citizen. 

Saudi Arabia also seeks to create a culture of tolerance in order to fight extremism and bring about international security and peace.

In addition, the Kingdom aims to meet high standards of transparency and accountability in the country.

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher in Davos on Friday.

During the meeting which took place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance it were discussed, Saudi Press Agency reported.
