One killed and several injured in Houthi attack in Taiz

DUBAI: A Houthi attack on Tuesday, on the Ash-Shamsi district in central Taiz left one woman dead and a further 13 people injured, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The 14 civilians were taken to a hospital in the city, but one woman died on arrival, a medical source told the Yemeni Saba News.

Seven of the admitted civilians are in the intensive care unit, the source added.

BRUSSELS: The European Union on Monday condemned new Israeli measures to tighten control of the West Bank and pave the way for more settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.
“The European Union condemns recent decisions by Israel’s security cabinet to expand Israeli control in the West Bank. This move is another step in the wrong direction,” EU spokesman Anouar El Anouni told journalists.
