Dummat Al-Jandal is a city of ruins in northwest Saudi Arabia, its boundary wall considered an ancient antiquity.
The oasis that contains the ruins adds to the site’s beauty. In the center stands Marid Castle, parts of which have been rebuilt.
Among the city’s other attractions is Omar bin Khattab Mosque, which was built in 634-635 BC when the area was part of a major trade route.
The mosque comprises a courtyard, a main prayer hall and minarets. Another major attraction is Al-Dar’i Quarter, the old quarter of Dumat Al-Jandal.
Excavations carried out in the city in 1976 revealed Nabataean and Roman pottery dating back to the 1st and 2nd centuries BC.

New wave of drone attacks on Saudi Arabia neutralized: Defense Ministry
RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Defense said Sunday that the Kingdom's air defenses has stopped new wave of drone attacks.
Ministry spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said in separate posts on X that seven drones were intercepted and destroyed east of the national capital, Riyadh city, while eight drones were shot down just after entering Saudi air space.
The new threat follows Saturday’s relentless missile and drone threats, all of which were “intercepted and destroyed.”
According to the ministry, 21 drones headed toward the Shaybah field in the Rub’ al-Khali desert, also known as the Empty Quarter, were shot down before reaching their target.
Five ballistic missiles fired at separate times of the day were likewise intercepted,
