Saudis take part in Arab scout forums in Algeria

  • Participating in such events is part of the association’s eagerness to bolster relations with associations from around the world

JEDDAH: The Saudi Scouts Association participated in the 19th Arab Scout Forum for Jamborees and the sixth Arab Scout Forum for Leaders in Algeria.
Both forums were hosted by the Algerian Islamic Scouts under the slogan: “The Arab Dream.”
More than 1,200 scouts and guides from 16 Arab countries participated, as did guests of honor from the American and Turkish scouts.
The head of the Saudi delegation, Mohammed Al-Hazzazi, said it participated in several events. Water activities included boat cruises, swimming and diving in the Mediterranean.
Participants also undertook community service programs and visited museums and landmarks.

Al-Sudais launches charity campaign in Makkah

MAKKAH: Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, has launched the Al-Jood Menna Wa Feena (Generosity Springs From Us and Returns to Us) campaign — affiliated with the Jood Housing platform — in Makkah.

Al-Sudais said that the presidency’s participation in the campaign stemmed from a sense of social responsibility and was a reinforcement of the values of solidarity encouraged by religion.

He also expressed his gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their gracious patronage of charitable works which helped to serve the interest of citizens while ensuring a good and stable life.
