Nine civilians killed by Houthi bombardment south of Hodeidah

DUBAI: Seven civilians were killed and four more wounded after Houthi militants fired three mortar shells at Heiss, south of Hodeidah province, Saudi state-news channel Al-Ekhbariya reported.
In a separate incident, two civilians, including one child, were killed by militia mortar fire within the same city.
In a statement issued to the official Yemeni news agency, a local source said “militants fired missiles from their positions in Jabal Ras on three houses in Heiss, killing seven – among them four women and children.”
Local sources said the militia targeted civilians gathering to drink water in the residential Bahis neighborhood within the city.
Residents took to the streets to demand the army to hunt down remaining Houthi militants in the region.
