Premium tire maker Hankook is now supplying various treads of its SmartWork truck tire series for use in construction site traffic, to the Swedish commercial vehicles manufacturer Scania as original equipment (OE). Seven dimensions for 22.5 and 24 inches are initially listed, which fleet customers and transport companies can now order from the three European Scania plants in Zwolle (Netherlands), Södertälje (Sweden) and Anger (France).
Marwan bin Shihon, vice president of Bin Shihon Group, exclusive distributors of Hankook in Saudi Arabia, said: “The growing demand from cars and trucks manufacturers to adopt Hankook tires as original equipment in their products, reflects the confidence placed by these companies in Hankook tires, and its ability to work under various road conditions.”
