Livemint report by Elizabeth Roche from New Delhi states that Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Raveesh Kumar has confirmed that a secret meeting took place between the national security advisers of India and Pakistan, Ajit Doval and Nasir Khan Janjua, in Thailand in December 2017, while maintaining that the meeting was not contrary to India’s state position of not holding talks with Pakistan as long as the latter does not abandon support to anti-India militant groups.
