KSRelief distributes snacks to displaced students, refugees in Yemen

RIYADH: The Kingdom on Tuesday distributed snacks to thousands of displaced schoolchildren and refugees in various parts of Yemen.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) distributed the snacks in 24 public schools, literacy schools, orphanages and refugee camps.
“The assistance is being provided to alleviate the suffering of unfortunate victims, under the guidance of the Kingdom’s leadership,” a KSRelief official said.
On behalf of the students, the principals of the schools that received the snacks thanked the Saudi government and King Salman for their magnanimity.
One principal said the gesture reflects the solidarity between the Yemeni and Saudi peoples, and KSRelief’s role is very important to the displaced students.
The center has so far implemented 139 projects at a cost of SR2.3 billion ($613.8 million) across Yemen, including emergency food relief, medical supplies, disease-prevention, reducing child mortality, agricultural development and improving water supplies.
KSRelief has also provided support for Yemeni refugees in Djibouti and Somalia, supported by both countries’ governments, and in coordination with national and international agencies.
