IDB-Red supreme in bank tourney

JEDDAH: IDB-Red (ICD) scored a convincing 20-run win over champions IDB-Blue (IT) in the season three of the Islamic Development Bank Intra-Bank cricket tournament, sponsored by GBEST and organized by SOCOM at the bank’s Greenlawn ground recently.
IDB-RED (ICD) took the wicket first and put on board 96 runs from their stipulated 12 overs. Hamza Hashimi top-scored with 28 runs. Adnan Bintori (7), Ata’s (6) Javed (7) and Razi (6) were the other contributors. Enam and Ataa bagged 4 wickets each.
In reply last season’s winner IDB-Blue failed to live up to expectation and were bowled out for 76 runs. Only Shaharya (14) and Ameen (12) were able to cross double figures.
Skipper Muzammil, Misbah and Nofil bagged two wickets each. Emaduddin chipped in with one.

Emirate Airlines, Qatar Airlines, Al-Rajhi Aviation and IDB-XI will take part in the Inter-Institutions cricket event, which will take off shortly, according to IDB cricket committee members.
