Celebration marks 73rd Pakistan National Day

The Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh held a reception on Sunday at Tuwaiq Palace in Diplomatic Quarter to celebrate the 73rd National Day of Pakistan.
The chief guest, Prince Khalid bin Bandar, governor of Riyadh Region and Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan cut the cake on the occasion.
The event was attended by a large number of Saudi officials, businessmen, prominent citizens, heads of missions, and prominent members of Pakistani expatriate community.
The reception was part of a series of events the Embassy of Pakistan is holding in connection with its National Day celebrations.
On 23rd March, the flag hoisting ceremony was held in the Embassy premises. Ambassador Naeem Khan hoisted the flag in the presence of Embassy officials as well as hundreds of community members. Messages from President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out on the occasion.
The Dirab Golf Club, the premier golf club in the capital, also organized the 6th Pakistan Day Golf Tournament prize distribution ceremony on 22nd March. Ambassador Naeem Khan was the chief guest at the ceremony. He made a brief speech on golf in Pakistan and distributed prizes among the winning golfers. More than a hundred players competed in the tournament.
The Embassy is also holding a live performance by renowned folk singer of Pakistan Arif Lohar at 7 p.m. on Thursday at King Fahd Culture Center, in Riyadh. A large crowd is expected at the event.
