Jubail spring fest 2013 starts Saturday

JUBIAL: The first edition of Jubail Spring Fest. which will run for 13 days at the waterfront of Al – Fanateer beach in Jubail Industrial City.
Royal Commission in Jubail will inaugurate the event.

“The festival aims to promote tourism and entertainment among residents and visitors of the Jubail Industrial City, and strengthen national identity and community,” said Mohammed Al-Arini, Director of Social Services Department.

Al-Arini said the fest also aims to support and encourage productive families to come and participate,

Commercial activities at the festival will see the participation of over than 50 small business families that will be given free spaces to showcase and demonstrate their products in various trading activities.

The festival includes a variety of daily activities that will take place at different pavilions of the festival, such as Children’s Village, Keran Folk Village that contains a number of corners like a poetry house, a folk café, handcrafts corner, a historical museum, and an exhibition of classic cars.

Youth groups will demonstrate their cultural, social and sport skills and interests at the pavilion of ‘National Creations’.

Several evening events will be held at the open air theater with the participation of talented youth groups from Jubail Industrial City, the theater will also hosts star guests in the field of media, poetry and comedy.

Jubail Spring Festival coincides with accompanying events at Jubil youth’s beach that include several recreation programs and shows of amended auto, sailing boats, and motorcycles, in addition to a variety of sport competitions targeted at young people particularly.
