A Los Angeles company has combined Arab and Western traditions to create beautiful and personal outdoor events in sunny California. The newest offering is unique for Ramadan with traditional decorations and delicacies for the Holy Month.
“The idea behind Ramadan Picnic is for people to feel the vibe of Ramadan in the US,” BB Events Co-Founder, Jawa Abdulal told Arab News.
Recently out of college, Abdulal and her co-founders were inspired to create BB Events based on a love for crafts and design, combined with what they learned from business school.
“I was able to mix the American culture with the Middle Eastern culture to come up with a unique, different style for the picnics," she said.
The Ramadan Picnics feature delicious Arabic food as well as desserts such as Baklava and stuffed dates, to be enjoyed upon Middle Eastern cushions and kitchenware.
