RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index rose on Wednesday, gaining 68.85 points, to close at 12,174.18. 

The total trading turnover of the benchmark index was SR7 billion ($1.8 billion), with 157 stocks advancing and 55 declining. 

The Kingdom’s parallel market, Nomu, also rose 88.27 points, or 0.35 percent, to 24,961.03.

Similarly, the MSCI Tadawul Index increased by 9.82 points to close at 1,585.58.

The best-performing stock on the main market was Sumou Real Estate Co., with the company’s share price soaring by 10 percent to SR46.2.

Other top gainers included Perfect Presentation for Commercial Services Co., known as 2P, whose price grew 7.75 percent to land at SR27.8.

Al-Baha Investment and Development Co. and Taiba Investments Co. also saw increases of 7.14 percent and 6.37 percent, respectively. 

Media giant MBC Group experienced the largest decline of the day, with its share price falling 7.2 percent to SR64.8. 

Meanwhile, the best performer on the parallel market was Lean Alkhair Trading Co., which gained 2.4 points, or 9.11 percent, and closed at SR28.75.

United Real Estate Development Co. was also at the top of gainers, increasing 4.3 points, or 5.48 percent, to close at SR.82.7.

The Natural Gas Distribution Co. and Abdulaziz Mansour Ibrahim Albabtin Co. also saw a significant increase, rising 4.76 percent and 4.75 percent, respectively. 

However, Al-Rashid Industrial Co. experienced the most significant decline of the day in the parallel market, falling 7.81 percent to land at SR35.4. 

Notable advancements in the market include the National Agricultural Development Co., which recorded the highest closing rate since 2006.

The company, which is listed in the food production sector in the Saudi market, rose during today’s session by 4 percent to close at SR30.1, amid trading of about 2.7 million shares.
