Bollywood’s Sultan flexes his muscles

High on wrestling sequences, witty dialogues and a plot that allows the superstar to legally take off his shirt, ‘Sultan’ was Salman’s sixth Eid offering. Sultan Salman Khan destroyed box office records all across the world, in the first five days the total gross box office collection of the film stood at Rs 344.5 crore ($51.4 million). It is touted to be the highest for any Bollywood film in its opening weekend.
As per Geo Films, the distributors of ‘Sultan’ in Pakistan, the film has eclipsed the opening weekend record set by Pakistani movie ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Ani’. After ‘Sultan’ breaks all pre-existing records, Salman’s Eid 2017 release has been announced and will be called ‘Tubelight’ where Bhai teams with Kabir Khan once again.
Last week, the special screening of ‘Sultan’ created a buzz among members of the film fraternity. Salman was seen together with his current girlfriend Lulia Vantur and his ex-muse Katrina Kaif at the screening. A little birdie chirped that Salman might cast Katrina in his next film and Lulia is unhappy with this development.
Rumor mills have been abuzz with reports of the actor tying the knot with Lulia by the end of 2016. Also, Khan hinted at his special bonding with the Romanian TV presenter as he shared the newest version of the ‘Sultan’ song ‘Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai’ where she too lents her voice along with the megastar.
According to reports, it is not only Salman who is having a good time, Sultan’s leading lady Anushka Sharma also hosted a special screening for her beau Virat Kohli. Well, we can only say that love is in the air.
