RIYADH: Mujahideen Forces arrested two drug traffickers in a village in Jazan on Monday for possessing illegal drugs, including captagon pills, an online publication reported.
Mutlaq Al-Otaibi, a Mujahideen Forces commander, said the suspects were acting suspiciously after being asked to stop by the officers.
“They were going to a village off the highway in a Korean-made vehicle. They tried to escape after watching us but failed ,” Al-Otaibi said.
“The two drug traffickers were arrested and turned over to the anti-drug authorities,” said Al-Otaibi, who explained that captagon pills are prohibited in the Kingdom.
Last year, the United Nations reported that 30 percent of global amphetamine seized came from the Kingdom.
