4 die in head-on collision in Qunfudah

Four people were killed and three were injured in a head-on collision on the Al-Zayed Road in Bani Zayed town, east of Qunfudah, late Friday.
One car had on board a family of two men, three women and a child, while the other had only the driver inside.
Both drivers died, in addition to the male passenger and one of the women, who died in hospital. The two other women and child are said to have sustained light to moderate injuries.
Makkah Civil Defense spokesman Col. Saeed Sarhan said rescue teams in Qunfudah immediately reported to the scene of the accident to get the passengers out of the wreckage.
Qunfudah police have been informed and the bodies transferred to the local general hospital.
Local residents have lit the road on which the fatal crash occurred, which links their town with Bani Zayed.
