Normally, she would not have been able to find work there as only local residents are given priority for women teacher positions in schools, and so it proved when her application was rejected. So she sought the advice of her friends and they suggested she find a husband in Leith and settle there.
Immediately she asked her parents to look for a man in the town to marry her. Luckily for her, a groom was found and the marriage went ahead. It is not known whether she has become a teacher in Leith or not, Al-Madinah newspaper reported on Monday.
