JEDDAH: The Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG) has been named the main media sponsor of the second Travel and Tourism Investment Forum to be held in Riyadh from April 12 to 16.
Abdullah Al-Johani, deputy chairman for marketing and media affairs at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), said the forum would boost investment in the Kingdom’s tourism industry. “It’s an important international event aimed at promoting investment in the Kingdom’s tourism sector,” he said.
He said the conference would discuss major issues concerning the tourism industry and the experience of other countries in the field. Discussions will focus on Saudi Arabia’s tourism potential, major tourism products, tourism manpower, tourism marketing and tourism information.
SRMG’s publications Arab News, Asharq Al-Awsat and Al-Eqtisadiah will provide wide coverage to the forum’s activities. An agreement has been signed between the company and the SCTA in this regard.
Al-Johani thanked the SRMG for its continuing support to the commission and its annual forum. “This comes within the framework of the strong cooperation between the two organizations,” he said, adding that it is a good example for cooperation between a government department and the private sector.
The SCTA has invited private companies and government agencies to take part in an exhibition to be held on the sidelines of the forum at the Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.
