Based on an award-winning game Fable; Fable: The lost chapter starts an adventure tale of young boy whose future, character, attitude and morality is determined by action and decision made in his childhood and adulthood. In this review, we’ll take a review at graphics, sounds, multiplayer and Gameplay.
Graphics:
Fable’s graphics are astonishing and far better-quality then the Xbox version. Every graphical aspect has been tweaked and optimized by the developers. Lighting has been utilized magnificently. The environments are lively and rich in colors and characters’ models and animation has been enhanced.
Score: 9.5/10
Sounds:
Fable’s sounds are excellent without a doubt. The game’s soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks I’ve ever heard thanks to Danny Elfman’s brilliant work. The sounds effect and voice acting is brilliant.
Score: 9.5/10
Multiplayer:
Multiplayer feature is not available in Fable: the Lost Chapters.
Score: N/A
Gameplay:
One of the key features of Fable: The Lost chapter is storyline. Every decision made will affect the character’s principles, outlook and his relations with the environment. For example, good deeds will earn you respect and admiration by the villagers and children while bad deeds will strike fear and terror in their hearts. As a result, quests can be dealt in various ways by the character. The most notable and simplest example is betraying a cheating husband then not to tell his wife only after taking a bribe from him. In addition, gaining experience will allow you to customize your character and boost his abilities. The battles are very challenging and grow to be easy once you master your controls. On the other hand, the Fable’s controls suffered as often games do when ported from consoles to PC. Adaptation will be quite a challenge even for hardcore gamers.
Score: 9.8/10
To finish off, Fable: The Lost chapters’ bold character development plus the exceptional graphics and sounds make out the right elements to make it enjoyable and excel. I highly recommend this game to role-playing genre fans especially for those who missed the Xbox version.
Overall Score: 9.7/10
