RIYADH, 22 August 2005 — The Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) is looking at 13 proposals from companies and consultants on studies for transferring it to a private company and restructuring it, reported Al-Eqtisadiyah newspaper. The proposals are from a mixture of local and international companies. Previously, SWCC had qualified 16 consulting offices to submit their proposals. Fehaid Al-Sharif, governor of SWCC, had formed a committee consisting of four subcommittees - technical, strategic, financial, and legal - to review the proposals.
