DUBAI: Batter Harpreet Singh Bhatia is set to lead the UAE’s national men’s team on their tour of Jersey and Scotland in the ICC CWC League 2 tri-series.
The 15-member squad heads to Jersey on Saturday, where they will play a 50-over warm-up match against the hosts on both Monday and Wednesday at the NCC Grainville ground. The team then travels to Scotland for the tri-series, with the hosts and Canada as the other participants.
The UAE squad is due to play a practice match against Scotland A on Friday, July 31.
UAE’s opening fixture is against Scotland on Monday, Aug. 3 followed by a match against Canada on Aug. 5. UAE’s third match will see them take on the hosts on Aug. 9 while their final fixture of the series will see them face Canada on Aug. 11. All will be played at the Forfarshire CC ground in Dundee with the matches starting at 11 a.m. local time.
