DUBAI: The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s International 2026 marks its first appearance in Europe as a part of the Esports World Cup in Paris.
Bringing together 16 of the world’s leading teams, the tournament will have players compete for a share of the $500,000 prize pool, reinforcing its position as one of the biggest events in women’s esports.
For Team Falcons MENA, the tournament represents an opportunity to showcase the talent of players from the Middle East North Africa region on the international MLBB stage.
Following success at the MWI-Africa qualifiers, the team now take to the stage in Paris to test themselves against the strongest women’s rosters from around the world.
As the popularity of women’s esports continues to grow worldwide, MWI has become an important platform for players to compete at the highest level while inspiring greater participation across the competitive gaming ecosystem.
Meet the team
While the MLBB is played in a five vs. five format, Team Falcons MENA travel with a five-player roster, consisting of five starting players and one substitute who provides additional flexibility throughout the tournament.
Each member plays a distinct role within the team’s overall strategy.
Nocturne takes on the role of EXP Laner, controlling the side lane while providing durability during team fights and helping initiate key engagements.
As the team’s Jungler, Nana is responsible for controlling neutral objectives, dictating the pace of the game and creating opportunities for teammates across the map.
Operating from the center lane is Syrinx, the team’s Mid Laner, whose role combines map control, team-fight impact and coordinating rotations to support both side lanes.
Names plays as the team’s Gold Laner, focusing on farming resources during the early stages before becoming one of the primary damage dealers during the later stages of a match.
Supporting the entire lineup is Nucci, the team’s Roamer, whose responsibilities include protecting teammates, providing vision, initiating engagements and helping control the flow of the game.
Completing the roster is Rio, who joins the squad as the team’s substitute, providing additional depth and allowing the coaching staff the flexibility to make tactical changes should the tournament require them.
Together, the five-player roster provides Team Falcons MENA with balance across every position while ensuring they have options available throughout the competition.
Road to the championship
The tournament began with the Group Stage, running from July 14 to 16, with all 16 teams competing for a place in the knockout rounds.
Those who advance will move into the Knockout Stage, held from July 16 to 18, before the competition concludes with the Grand Final on July 18, where this year’s MWI champions will be crowned.
With several matches scheduled across just a few days, consistency, communication and adaptability will be as important as individual skill. Every result has the potential to shape a team’s route through the tournament, leaving little to no room for mistakes.
Representing the region
For Team Falcons MENA, the tournament offers another opportunity to showcase the continued development of women’s esports across the MENA region on one of the world’s biggest competitive gaming stages.
Women’s participation in esports continues to expand globally, with more professional pathways, international tournaments, and investment helping to create greater opportunities for players to compete professionally.
The MWI reflects that continued growth by providing a dedicated international platform where the world’s leading women’s teams can compete at the highest level.
The tournament also forms part of the wider Esports World Cup, where Team Falcons MENA has claimed the Club Championship in each of the last two editions, underlining the club’s consistent success across multiple titles on the global stage.
As the tournament makes its European debut, Team Falcons MENA will join the international field looking to build on their regional success while representing the region against the world’s best.
