JEDDAH: The Third International Conference on Legal and Sharia Studies, themed “Laws and Modern Trends,” concluded yesterday in Jeddah after three days of discussions, bringing together a distinguished group of researchers, academics, and legal experts from within the Kingdom and abroad.
The conference featured in-depth scientific discussions on key contemporary legal and Sharia issues, with 24 research papers and 12 research posters presented. The sessions focused on emerging jurisprudential, legal, and technological developments that advance integration between Islamic Sharia and modern legal systems.
The conference’s final recommendations emphasized the importance of aligning Arab and Islamic legislation with local and international developments, supporting applied research that offers solutions to legal and jurisprudential challenges, developing training programs for legal professionals, judges, and lawyers, investing in the development of young research talent, and strengthening knowledge exchange.
At the conclusion of the conference, participants praised its high scientific and organizational standards, commending the Ethraa Almaerifa center for organizing the event and providing a distinguished academic platform for exchanging expertise and discussing contemporary legal and Sharia issues.
