RIYADH: 22 individuals belonging to a criminal network involved in drug smuggling and trafficking have been arrested in the Riyadh region, a Ministry of Interior source said on Wednesday.
Those arrested include 19 Saudi citizens, one of whom is an employee of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, an Ethiopian national in violation of border security regulations, a female Moroccan national, and a Yemeni national.
Legal measures have been taken against the individuals and they have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
