Industry ministry issues 322 new industrial licenses, sees 188 factories enter production in April

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 322 new industrial licenses during April, while 188 new factories commenced production during the same month, according to a report by the ministry’s National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.

The report, which monitors industrial indicators on a monthly basis, showed that the volume of investments associated with the new licenses exceeded SR12.33 billion ($3.28 billion).

These projects are expected to create more than 2,977 job opportunities across various regions of the Kingdom.

Investments in factories that began production during April totaled SR2.01 billion, generating 3,606 new jobs, reflecting the continued expansion of the Kingdom's industrial base and the increasing pace of factories entering actual operation.

Through the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information, the ministry issues key industrial indicators monthly, reflecting the level of industrial activity in the Kingdom, including the volume of new investments, the number of licenses issued, and factories commencing production.
