RIYADH: A new luxury hotel has opened its doors at the Saudi tourism megaproject Red Sea Global.

Four Seasons Amaala is now taking bookings at its new hotel at Triple Bay on the shore of the northwestern Tabuk region.

“Our new resort at Triple Bay is a shining example of how we seek to anticipate and exceed guest expectations,” said Rainer Stampfer, president, global operations, hotels and resorts, in a press statement.

The resort features a 2,095 sq. meter spa and 511 sq. meter fitness area, with fitness and nutrition experts on hand to cater to guests.

It was designed by Dubai-based U+A architects and has 202 guest rooms, suites and garden villas.

There are also six open-air restaurants and lounges, a range of amenities for families and five pools.

Guest can arrive by sea and use an on-site yacht club, with a marina village that has a number of shops and restaurants.

Red Sea Global is one of the flagship megaprojects announced under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 reforms.

It is set to be powered entirely by renewable energy and will have 8,000 rooms across 50 hotels, according to the Vision 2030 website.

The megaproject is situated on 28,000 sq. km of shorefront, mountains and 90 islands, nearby the world’s fourth largest barrier reef.

It aims to create 70,000 jobs by 2030 and contribute $5.3 billion to the country’s economy.

The project is powered by 100 percent renewable electricity, supported by more than 760,000 solar panels and a large-scale battery storage facility.
