RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a phone call with Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Saturday to review relations and discuss regional developments, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen Saudi-Qatari cooperation across various sectors, while also reviewing efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region, SPA added.
Separately on Saturday, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said the two ministers discussed issues of mutual interest, without providing further details.
The calls came as the US and Iran inched toward a deal to end the months-long Middle East conflict after Pakistani mediation efforts over the weekend.
