Saudi king, crown prince congratulate Djibouti president on reelection

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday congratulated Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh on his reelection.

In a cable, King Salman wished Guelleh and his people success and prosperity, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The king also highlighted the ties between the two nations, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

The crown prince, who also serves as the Kingdom’s prime minister, conveyed similar sentiments in a separate cable to the Djibouti leader.

Guelleh will now serve for a sixth presidential term. He was first elected to lead the East African nation in 1999.
