Emirati royal sends Gaza’s health sector medical supplies

  • More than two years of war in the coastal enclave have left hospitals critically short of essential supplies

LONDON: The UAE delivered a shipment of medicines and medical supplies on Sunday to address the humanitarian crisis in the healthcare sector of the Gaza Strip.

The aid amount is worth more than  2.7 million dirhams (approximately $735,000), supported by Sheikha Mouza bint Suhail Al-Khaili, according to WAM, the Emirates News Agency.

More than two years of war in the coastal Palestinian enclave have left hospitals critically short of essential medical supplies, which the UAE’s shipment aims to address.

These efforts are part of the UAE’s Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, which aims to support healthcare and alleviate suffering while demonstrating the country’s commitment to the Palestinian people during the worsening humanitarian situation, WAM added.
