Historic Palace in Saudi Arabia’s Qassim open to visitors

RIYADH: The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority, in collaboration with the Heritage Commission and Qassim Principality, has opened King Abdulaziz’s historic palace in Qibah to visitors for Eid Al-Fitr.

Open daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m until next Friday, the palace offers a comprehensive cultural experience featuring displays of artifacts and antiquities that reflect the region’s social and economic history.

The event includes performances of the Saudi Ardah, traditional handicrafts by local families, and dedicated educational zones for children.

Originally built in 1351 AH (1932) in the traditional Najdi style, the palace served as a vital administrative and security center.

This initiative aims to highlight the site’s historical significance and strengthen the community’s connection to national heritage as part of the Kingdom's growing tourism landscape.
