RIYADH: The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association recently joined the annual global meeting of national scout leaders via video conference.
The meeting, organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement, marked the anniversary of the birth of scouting founder Robert Baden-Powell, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
It was part of global events held annually on Feb. 22, during which leaders review key developments, discuss shared priorities, and strengthen cooperation among national organizations.
The association said its participation reflects its commitment to sharing expertise and showcasing impactful initiatives and community programs.
The meeting discussed the role of scouting in youth development, promoting values of service, responsibility and active citizenship, and highlighted volunteer work as a key pillar in building communities and fostering a culture of peace.
The Saudi participation aligns with the association’s ongoing efforts to support scouting activities, strengthen educational values among youth, and promote community service and volunteerism at national and international levels.
