MADINAH: The Islamic University of Madinah recently held its third “Iftar Around the World” event, coinciding with the Kingdom’s Founding Day celebrations, in the presence of university president Saleh Alagla.
Students from more than 180 countries gathered at a single iftar table, reflecting the university’s cultural diversity and its values of coexistence and mutual understanding, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
The event featured traditional Ramadan dishes from participating countries, allowing students to explore diverse customs and traditions, and fostering cultural and social interaction in a spirit of harmony and fraternity.
It was part of the university’s efforts to promote cultural exchange, enrich the educational experience and reinforce its global mission of building civilizational bridges, aligning with the Kingdom’s commitment to cultural diversity and international student support.
