FII Institute announces speakers and agenda of PRIORITY Asia Summit in Tokyo

RIYADH: The Future Investment Initiative Institute announced the first group of global leaders for the core program of the FII PRIORITY Asia Summit 2025, which will be held from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 in Tokyo.

The summit will address the theme of “The New Asia,” exploring how the region’s capital, creativity, and technological entrepreneurship are reshaping global growth and redefining the world’s economic center of gravity. 

Held over two days in collaboration with Mizuho Financial Group, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. as presenting partners, the summit will convene global investors, policymakers, founders, and Fortune 500 CEOs for high-level dialogues, structured discussions, and high-impact strategic investment exchanges.

The Public Investment Fund, represented by Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of PIF and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the FII Institute, will participate in the FII PRIORITY Asia Summit in Tokyo and will play a pivotal role in the program.

Richard Attias, CEO of the FII Institute, stated: “Tokyo is the perfect location for ‘The New Asia.’ In collaboration with our distinguished partners Mizuho, MUFG, and SMBC Group, the summit will transform East-West dialogue into actionable investment and pioneering collaboration across fields such as artificial intelligence, mobility, healthcare, finance, and the creative industries.”

The summit will feature a roster of high-profile figures who are shaping the future of global innovation and investment. Participants include Majid Al Fayyadh, CEO of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre; Tony Vinciquerra, chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Hiroaki Kitano, president and CEO of Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Inc.

Participants also include Yoshinori Kanehana, chairman of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd, Takeshi Hashimoto, president and CEO of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., as well as Karl Deppen, CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation and Gene Berdichevsky, co-founder and CEO of Sila.

Seniors from McKinsey and Co., Investcorp, Egis as well as Matrix Partners China will also be present.

The summit’s agenda will focus on strategic drivers accelerating global transformation, which include: artificial intelligence and sovereign technology, as well as examining the infrastructure, governance, and practical applications bolstering Asia’s leadership in AI.

The summit will also focus on the future of mobility and supply chains. This includes covering autonomous systems and maritime excellence. It will also explore next-generation logistics powered by Japanese industrial strength.

Another focus is capital flows and private markets. This involves positioning Asia as a growth nucleus for family offices. It also includes alternative investments and strategic capital directed toward the Global South.

A further topic is health, longevity, and biotech innovation. The aim is translating world-class research into scalable impact. This impact is for both aging and youthful populations.

Finally, it will cover the creative economy, gaming, and Web3. This explores how intellectual property is shaping a new era. It also looks at how immersive media and tokenization are shaping digital creativity and ownership.
