JEDDAH: Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel on Tuesday participated in a ministerial session at the fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition, highlighting efforts to provide pilgrims with high-quality medical services.

Aligned with the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, these efforts aim to ensure a safe and seamless pilgrimage.

Speaking during the session “From Vision to Reality: Integrated Sectors in Serving Pilgrims,” AlJalajel said the health system has various entities to safeguard pilgrims’ well-being throughout their journey.

He emphasized the “health eligibility” requirement for Hajj visas, ensuring pilgrims are medically fit for the rituals, the Saudi Press Agency reported. 

AlJalajel highlighted the use of advanced technologies, including spatial analytics and real-time data, to monitor and protect pilgrims’ health throughout the season. 

Preventive measures include annually updating vaccination requirements and addressing challenges such as high temperatures to prevent heat stress, he added.

AlJalajel said the government wants to ensure all pilgrims have a safe and healthy Hajj.
