DUBAI: Models and celebrities — including part-Saudi model Amira Al-Zuhair, Dubai-based Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan and US Palestinian beauty moguls Simi and Haze Khadra — this week took to Instagram to share their hopes for 2024.
Al-Zuhair, who started off the year in Paris, shared a picture of herself at the Eiffel Tower and wrote: “Wishing you all a great 2024. Feeling blessed and grateful. Looking forward to what 2024 has in store.”

Tunisian model and actress Myriem Boukadida — who previously walked the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda show and starred in campaigns for Guess, L’Oréal USA, and Miu Miu —also spent quality time with her family in Paris.
She shared a collage on Instagram Stories with her father, mother and two sisters. She also re-posted her sister Salma Boukadida’s Story, which was a short clip of the French city’s skyline.
Meanwhile, the Khadra sisters are hoping for a free Palestine this year. “Envisioning a Free Palestine in 2024, where everyone everywhere can live in safety and dignity,” the sisters wrote on their joint Instagram account.
They shared a carousel of images from the festive season that featured cozy sweaters, hot drinks, Christmas decorations and city views with their 1.7 million followers.
Lohan started the new year in Dubai with her Kuwaiti financier husband Bader Shammas and their baby boy.
“Wishing everyone a blessed year. May it be filled with love, good health, peace and happiness! Full of gratitude,” she wrote on Instagram to her 14.1 million followers.
The “Mean Girls” actress also shared a sneak peek of how she spent her New Year’s Eve. It seemed as though the family celebrated the start of 2024 at their Dubai home as Lohan shared pictures of the colorful Burj Khalifa fireworks.
Lohan, who has been living in the UAE city since 2017, and Shammas welcomed their first child in July in Dubai. The couple gave their first bundle of joy an Arabic name, Luai.
Lohan first announced her pregnancy in March 2023 in a photo posted to Instagram of a white onesie emblazoned with the words “coming soon.”
