Hyundai debuts new Azera flagship sedan in Middle East

Hyundai Motor Company Middle East and Africa has revealed the seventh-generation Azera flagship sedan in the Middle East markets.

The new Azera has been true to its origins of refined premium quality and luxury since its introduction in 1986. The model comes with bold lines and an array of technologies and novel features to provide superior performance and remarkable levels of comfort for passengers.

Bryan Park, head of Hyundai Middle East and Africa headquarters, said: “As a beautifully proportioned premium large sedan, the all-new Azera is reborn with a design that transcends generations and preferences with an impressive fusion of art and technology and impressive performance.”

The exterior design of the model is not only beautifully proportioned but also smoothly sculpted, taking inspiration from Hyundai Motor’s vision of future mobility.

The new Azera is 5,035 mm long, which is 45 mm longer than the previous generation. With a 10 mm longer wheelbase and 50 mm longer rear overhang, the new Azera carries its new proportions gracefully with the added benefit of a roomier interior.

The car’s lower height and pushed-back cowl point and C-pillars convey a dynamic and uniquely premium style. From the headlamps to the rear lamps, the new Azera presents smooth side body panels and neat characteristics. Moreover, its frameless door and auto flush-type door handle adds to the sophisticated appearance.

Boasting interior space with a premium feel, intuitive technologies and inspired details, the new Azera’s interior is designed with a minimalist approach that focuses on ergonomics, intuitive technologies, and user convenience to provide a spacious yet premium feeling that promotes comfort and relaxation. Wrap-around architecture flows from the dashboard.

The premium sedan places the customers’ needs first, which is most evident in the two well-equipped trim levels “Base” and “Calligraphy.” Base is characterized by the slim ergonomic design and the reduction of physical buttons to improve usability and create a minimalistic, high-quality emotional space with a broad sense of space.

Meanwhile, Calligraphy boasts a top-tier trim for a flagship large-sized sedan, leading a premium image with differentiated exclusive “Calligraphy–only” interior and specifications.

The new Azera’s interior trim and colors are inspired by hues and patterns found in nature and traditional Korean decor while also eliminating artificiality in favor of eco-friendly materials, such as bamboo-based color coating material and leather processed by natural vegetable dyeing.

The new Azera comes with two engine options. The 3.5-liter GDi engine option provides maximum engine output of 300 ps and maximum torque of 36.6 kgf·m. The 1.6-liter gasoline turbo hybrid engine option offers a maximum output of 180 ps and maximum torque at 27 kgf·m.

A hybrid electric vehicle variant of the new Azera adopts E-Motion Drive, which consists of E-Comfort Drive mode to provide a smoother driving experience and E-Dynamic Drive to enable dynamic and stable performance during acceleration and cornering.

The new Azera is the first model to adopt Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, Hyundai Motor’s new infotainment system, opening a new chapter in the smart mobility experience. The newly introduced ccNC integrates navigation, cluster and heads-up display into a seamless graphical user interface.

LuLu marks Founding Day with ‘Made in Saudi’ campaign

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources honored LuLu Hypermarket in recognition of its pivotal role as the exclusive retail partner of the “Najoud Bikhairna 2026” initiative, commending its continued efforts in supporting and empowering national industries while showcasing the quality and competitiveness of locally manufactured products.

The initiative, led by the ministry in partnership with the Saudi Export Development Authority, represented by the Made in Saudi program, stands as a pioneering model of public-private sector collaboration in activating community-driven initiatives with sustainable impact. Through this program, more than 280,000 Saudi-made products were distributed to 10,000 families across various regions of the Kingdom during the holy month of Ramadan, reinforcing the presence of national products and strengthening the values of social solidarity among individuals and institutions alike.
The ministry’s recognition of LuLu Hypermarket coincided with the official launch of its Saudi Founding Day celebrations at the Dharat Laban branch in Riyadh, marked by the unveiling of a comprehensive promotional campaign dedicated to Saudi-made products. On this occasion, a wide range of special offers was introduced on local products, available across all LuLu Hypermarket branches throughout the Kingdom.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mohammed bin Dayel, general supervisor of the Made in Saudi program at the Saudi Export Development Authority, and Mohamed Haris, director of LuLu Saudi Arabia, alongside members of LuLu’s executive management team. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the specially designed Founding Day gateway.
Following the inauguration, guests toured several dedicated zones and exhibitions highlighting national products. The tour commenced at the grocery and “Made in Saudi” consumer goods sections, showcasing the diversity and quality of local brands. It also included the “Made in Saudi” dates pavilion, presenting a premium selection of the finest locally sourced dates in celebration of one of the Kingdom’s most iconic national symbols.
The visit continued to the fruits and vegetables section under the theme “From Our Land,” featuring an exceptional assortment of Saudi agricultural products, reflecting the richness and excellence of the local agricultural sector. Guests also explored the LuLu private label corner, which features products exclusively manufactured within the Kingdom for LuLu, reaffirming the company’s commitment to supporting local manufacturing.
The tour concluded with a presentation of “Made in Saudi” products within the chilled and frozen categories, underscoring the rapid growth and qualitative advancement of the Kingdom’s food manufacturing sector, and further reinforcing the strong market position and competitiveness of Saudi products.
