Saudi foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrives in Algeria for official visit

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Monday arrived in Algeria on an official visit.

As part of the trip the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf hosted a dinner banquet for the prince and his accompanying delegation.

The dinner was attended by the Saudi ambassador to Algeria, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Bussairi, and the director general of the foreign affairs office, Abdulrahman Al-Dawood.

The most recent visit by Prince Faisal to Algeria was during the 31st Arab Summit hosted by Algeria in November where he was received by Attaf at a reception ceremony, and then Algerian President Abdul Majeed Tabun at the summit headquarters.

Saudi Arabia and Algeria have exchanged numerous visits throughout the years in efforts to further strengthen their cooperation.

In May last year, Prince Faisal traveled to the north African nation on an official visit to meet with the previous Algerian foreign affairs minister, Ramtane Lamamra, and discussed ways to develop links between the two countries in all fields.

LONDON: Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and the Palestinian prime minister, Mohammed Mustafa, on Tuesday discussed the latest developments in Gaza.

During their meeting, which took place at the annual gathering of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, they also reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Other Saudi officials present at the meeting included the Kingdom’s ambassador to Switzerland, Abdulrahman Al-Dawood; the director general of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed Al-Ismail; and Mohammed Alyahya, an advisor to the foreign minister.
