Saudi aid agency opens second volunteer life program in Turkiye

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center inaugurated on Monday the second Saudi volunteer life program in the border city of Reyhanlı in the state of Hatay in Turkiye to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkiye.
Since the start of the campaign, the KSRelief volunteer medical team of has examined 121 cases of general surgery and orthopedics and performed six successful surgeries.
Comes as part of the relief and humanitarian projects the Kingdom provides through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, for many brotherly and friendly countries during the holy month of Ramadan.
KSrelief has distributed 12 tons of food baskets in various cities in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, benefiting 3,000 individuals from 500 families, it was reported on Tuesday.
As part of this initiative, 82 tons and 400 kilograms of food baskets were distributed in several cities in Banten Province, Indonesia, benefiting 8,000 people from 2,000 families.
This effort is part of the Ramadan Food Basket Distribution Project in Indonesia, which aims to distribute 6,687 Ramadan food baskets to benefit 33,435 people across various regions in Indonesia.

During the call, the two leaders reviewed the fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and discussed ways to strengthen and develop cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international developments, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
