Saudi foreign minister meets International Crisis Group chief

  • Prince Faisal bin Farhan met German Chancellery Foreign and Security Policy Adviser Jens Ploetner to discuss both regional and international issues

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Sunday met Comfort Ero, the president and CEO of the International Crisis Group, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

They discussed the latest regional and international developments, and exchanged views on various topics, most notably the Russia-Ukraine conflict and efforts aimed at reaching a political solution that achieved peace and security.

The two sides also looked at the importance of intensifying multilateral action and strengthening cooperation between governments and civil society institutions to ensure security, stability and prosperity.

The Saudi minister on Saturday held meetings with his Dutch, Austrian and Pakistani counterparts, and discussed ways to support and enhance relationships between the Kingdom and those countries.

He also met German Chancellery Foreign and Security Policy Adviser Jens Ploetner to discuss both regional and international issues.

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone call with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi on Thursday, Saudi state agency SPA reported.

The two officials reviewed the latest regional developments and discussed joint efforts to enhance security and stability across the region 

The minister also had a call with French Foreign Minister, Jean-Noel Barrot during which they discusses the latest developments in the regional situation and their implications for the security and stability of the region.
