RIYADH: The Saudi Public Transport Authority has issued guidelines for the safety of trucks transporting non-dangerous goods in three different languages: Arabic, English and Urdu.

The guide contains instructions on the general safety conditions that must be met and followed in the event of an emergency, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

It contains 11 parts and aims to help truck drivers learn the general safety requirements for the transportation of livestock, containers, frozen and refrigerated items and solid materials, as well as including sections on vehicle transport, vehicle towing and heavy equipment transport.

Guidelines provide a framework for all truck drivers in the Kingdom. They must follow the rules from the time of loading until the goods reach their destination.
