Saudi Arabia’s King Salman receives call from Iraq’s president

  • Saudi and Iraqi foreign ministers discussed relations during call

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman received a phone call from Iraqi President Barham Salih to offer greetings on the occasion of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.
The king reciprocated the sentiments and wished Iraq and its people wellness and happiness.
Meanwhile, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call on Thursday from his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein, the Kingdom’s foreign ministry said.
During the call, they reviewed aspects of Saudi-Iraqi relations, and ways to support and enhance them to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples. 
The two sides also touched on strengthening joint bilateral coordination to bring further stability to the region and preserve international peace and security.
They also exchanging views on many regional and international issues, the ministry added.
